Our Love
Story
Jason and Maddison met in Washington, DC, a place so notorious for failed romance that there are blogs dedicated to sharing the horror stories of single life in this city.
It was the spring of 2019 when the vivacious 23 year old marched into the office of the Deputy CFO, expense report in hand, seeking information to help her win a battle of campaign policy with a co-worker. After delivering a monologue full of context and questions, her audience of one walked out from behind his standing desk, reached to shake her hand, and said "Hi. I'm Jason. It's nice to meet you too."

Then, a casual date to get COVID tested before the holiday wasn't without drama (Jason passed, Maddison didn't). And lastly, to the White House Christmas Party, where they made their own corner in the Red Room and talked throughout the night as if they were the only two people at the event. That night Jason asked "do you mind if we get a picture together?" "haha why?" she replied. "Just in case" he answered.
That evening ended with a toast of warm Billecart-Salmon Champagne in coffee mugs to celebrate the end of an era, and the beginning of their adventure together.
After that first meeting, Maddison and Jason remained distant coworkers for the duration of the 2020 Presidential race. They enjoyed the occasional break room banter, like the times Jason would fake excitement over highlights from the weekend's Eagles game so he could show her. The satirical magic tricks at Maddison's cubical that he had been practicing between calls. Or, the out-of-the-blue check-in text like the one she received late on election night while in the White House war room.
Not good, Diane.
How's it going over there?
Delivered
It wasn't until late November of 2020 that Jason asked Maddison to hang out on an unfamiliarly quiet Friday night. They went to BWWs to watch the UFC card with some friends. Then, to dinner a few nights later where Maddison awkwardly spilled two drinks on the table and Jason awkwardly lied about seeing an intimate Kanye West set in Boston (turns out it was a cover band).

Neither of them knew that they had just met the person who would change their world forever.

Once You're There
The wedding will begin with a welcome dinner on Saturday, June 15th. Until then, head into the beautiful town of Siena and visit its historic churches, museums, and architecture.
Stroll through the town and visit the place where Jesus appeared to Saint Catherine when she was a girl in the 1350s. Or, attend Mass at St. Dominic's and witness her relics.
You can also take a train or bus around Tuscany visiting the many shops, restaurants, olive groves, and vinyards. Enjoy wine and olive oil tasting at Monaciano, head into Florence to see The David, join a pasta making class, or rent a vespa and search for the best gelato in the countryside.
Where You'll Stay
Tenuta di Monaciano is a Tuscan Estate just outside of Siena. The couple has reserved accommodations for guests to stay on property. If you wish to stay elsewhere that is certainly okay! If you would like to book your reservation at the estate click the link below.
